D for Dopidi is a 2013 Telugu film directed by Siraj Kalla, starring Varun Sandesh, Sundeep Kishan, Naveen, Rakesh and Melanie Kannokada in the lead roles.
The thing with small budget flicks is though the chances of them getting large number of theatres or maximum publicity is less, there is always a scope that the film can become a commercially successful venture if it gets even more than average collections in the first weekend. Right now, one film seems to have got that. We are talking about ‘D For Dopidi’ starring Sundeep Kishan and Varun Sandesh. Reports say the film is made on a budget of Rs 2 crores & the publicity budget was Rs 50 lakhs. It is heard that the Satellite is sold for Rs 1.75 Cr. Given these statistics it means that the film has begun running into profits right from day 1 of its release. Incidentally, the talk on the film has not been that positive but if it is a commercial success as being projected then it is a breather for the makers and they can make few more movies.
